Detroit Industrial Tool, a division of Mared Industries Inc. began with a vision of developing a distribution company founded on the principles of offering high quality rotary cutting tools and diamond saw blades through an aggressive customer focused sales organization.

In 1976 the company began with a 6,000 square foot facility in Van Nuys, California. Over the years we added key management and staff positions as we continued our growth. We have complimented our core group of products with an abrasive line and other industrial products.

In the beginning we mainly carried imported cutting tools. Today in addition to a premium import line we offer a complete catalog of products made in America. Over the years the majority of all diamond blades used in the United States have been made overseas. We take great pride in the quality of blades that we sell. The key for us at Detroit Industrial Tool is to offer the very best products at competitive prices.

Today Detroit Industrial Tool is approaching its 30 year anniversary. We have grown to a company of over 150 people with facilities totaling over 35,000 square feet including a fully inventoried warehouse to insure you get your product when you want it. While we are still headquartered in Van Nuys, we also have an office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
